I played this game religiously with a friend. We'd constantly try to outdo each other and it really ended up strengthening our friendship. I guess I should thank you for that!

Great post! Glad to hear coders like the QA phase because for PMs and QA it's quite a ride :)

Presently I need to build up an internal QA team and yes, I am actually rounding up email lists of bugs and trying to get everyone to read my online repository - and funnily enough it is the coders who respond the best. Account Managers, clients, producers and artists usually cannot see the workings beneath as well as the coders and QA guys, so they inevitably this leads to all sorts of features being asked for for builds viewed out of context.

So QA is great. Love your testers and you'll have builds that you can show to anyone and avoid crazy feature-creep. You may need to bat a few bugs back to ship on time but hey, you can always blame the OS if it crashes in front of a client :)

Right, back to the mails... ;)

I believe he said what he meant--he had an abiding interest in MapReduce, and after reading the Google paper his interest peaked. Hasn't been as high since.

I don't think so no, DNS is about resolving host names to IP addresses. You could however use a name based virtual hosting feature in your web server, if you have enough control over it, to do what I think you're talking about.

Can you somehow use a DNS service, like an A record or something to redirect to a subfolder on a top level domain ? For example http://indiawebsearch.com/category/technology/vmware ?
