8 months and 827 Perforce commits after we started, you can now get Pictureka! for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. The iPad version is native high resolution, looks great, and personally I think it plays a bit better than the iPhone version as there’s not so much scrolling around required.
After Battleship, this is FinBlades second EA published, Hasbro licensed, iOS game. Battleship is fun to play and I personally think it’s a great representation of the brand, but there wasn’t much room for quirky fun or alternative humour when developing it. Pictureka! is totally different though, with a very distinctive cartoon style, we had lots of fun with strange graphics and animations, all sorts of great sound effects, and best of all, the farting horse!
It’s also interesting how the character that pops up to award you an achievement looks very familiar indeed!
The Picture Ninja award is one of 21 different awards you can get for playing the game.
Here’s an iPad version screen shot for the player selection screen. Up to 4 players can compete with each other, including AI characters. You can even sit back and watch all AI characters play if you like. An option that young kids seem to like.
